Annual Maintenance Contract
An Electrical Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) is a service agreement between a client and an electrical contractor or service provider to ensure the ongoing maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of electrical systems over a fixed period—usually one year.
Scope of Work
Preventive Maintenance
- Regular inspections (monthly, quarterly, or semi-annually).
 - Cleaning and tightening of connections.
 - Thermal scanning of panels (infrared thermography).
 - Testing of circuit breakers, RCDs, and protective relays.
 - Load balancing and voltage checks.
 
Corrective Maintenance
- Troubleshooting and repairing faults in wiring, lighting, or panels.
 - Replacement of defective components (switches, outlets, MCBs, etc.).
 - Emergency breakdown support (usually within agreed response times).
 
System Testing
- Earth resistance measurement.
 - Insulation resistance testing.
 - Functional testing of safety and automation devices.
 
Documentation
- Maintenance logs.
 - Test reports.
 - Recommendations for upgrades or repairs.
 
Frequency of Service
Depends on the installation type:
